Here is my take on the Peacock Angel of middle eastern myth who was said to be the leader of the fallen angels and God of the world. After his fall it is said that he repented for his sins and collected his tears in seven jars, using them to extinguish the fires of hell. He is revered in the Feri tradition of Witchcraft as being a manifestation of the Blue God; the spirit of lusty pride, as well as the champion of one's own inner Divinity; the spirit within matter; what some have called the Luciferian gnosis. In Feri he is our Higher Self, as well as the Higher Self of the world. This image is based on Paul B. Rucker's painting of the same name and incorporates symbols traditional to the myth. He is associated with the east, springtime, fire, serpents, and the morning star.
