It's okay, but me personally I don't really connect a septagram to anything particularly "Ghoerille". Metaphysically it'll always be for me a essentially a diagram of the seven classical planets and how they relate to the seven days of the week, as in the back of Doreen Valiente's book Witchcraft for Tomorrow.

I remember somehow or another the Elvish Otherkin got a hold of it and started calling it an "Elvish Star" and then everyone else a little later out there started calling it a Fairy thing, I think the Rad Fae may be somehow to blame but I don't really get it. I prefer the good old fashioned pentagram, Ankh or <gasp> a cross (Kongo cosmogram/crossroads).

It's certainly pretty though. I just have this habit of editorializing, feel free to take as much salt as you need.

That's interesting! I always associated it with the power of fire and change, so it's a perfect emblem for Feri to me...

And, I've always liked its connection to the lemniscate gods... it strikes me as being a very apt symbol for the Consort/Divine Twins.

I have the same connection... Years ago, on top of Mt. Diablo, my husband and I performed a ritual underneath the full moon in order to connect to the Fae... we both felt the seven-pointed star very strongly as the lunar power moved into us and out through a particular point on our backs, just above the shoulder blades. We decided then and there to go and get seven-pointed star tattoos there as a reminder of that experience. And so we did.

I have always been drawn to sevens, and in Feri there are sevens abound. The seven Guardians (4 cardinal directions, plus above, below, and the practitioner in the center makes seven) the seven Lemniscate Deities which I have termed "The Infinitum" to name but two examples. I have spoken to at least one long-term Feri initiate/practitioner who says that they were taught the seven-pointed star as a part of their Feri training and that they couldn't imagine Feri without it. I, however, had to come to the star on my own, as it was not a part of the Bloodrose-descended teachings... that is not until I started teaching it. ;)
