Hi all,
Cora was admitted to the San Leandro hospital yesterday with fever and headaches. She also has leg swelling. Doctor hasn't seen her yet, so we don't know what the prognosis is. I'm going to visit her this afternoon.
Keep her in your prayers.

Re: Cora Anderson
Sun, May 28, 2006 - 12:08 PMI saw Cora yesterday afternoon. She will likely be in the hospital for *at least* a few days. She has a blood infection (probably has had it for a month) and is on antibiotics. They are keeping her in until her blood pressure stabilizes, the infection is more under control, and they see how she responds to the antibiotics.
She is still conversationally acute - always a surprise, that woman.
Cora requests that visitors be present around mealtimes (9am breakfast, noon for lunch and 4:30 for dinner) to help her eat. Cora can't really eat by herself because her one good arm has the IV tubes in it and managing everything is pretty much impossible for her. I fed her a little bit, which she seemed able to keep down.
she is at san leandro hospital
13855 e. 14th st,
san leandro, CA
(510) 357-6500
Even if you've never met her, stop on by if you live close - she loves visitors. She'll need more visitors when she returns home, too.
thanks and blessings - Thorn -
